Facility-Based Housing
What is an HIV Facility-Based Housing Program?
The facility-based housing program is transitional housing you can
stay at for a short period of time such as a hotel room. We offer a
lot of support. You are assigned a case manager who works with
you on a case plan for you to follow. We can help you find
permanent housing while you are living there.
When you move from the transitional program, you are usually
"eligible" for other types of housing programs (like resettlement
program or tenant-based).
"I have a daughter with me in this transitional housing. I get a lot of support. I have a place for my daughter and me to stay that's not on the streets. I have a clean room, and clean bed. I don't get much freedom. I get a lot of support here. We discuss my HIV status."
